A sliding scale on the app allows the user to increase or decrease the average number of times the disease is passed on by each sick person. When this number decreases, the infection curve flattens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now the technical bit. The app is based on something called the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2020\/01\/coronavirus-flu-healthcare-symptoms\/\">R0 number<\/a>&nbsp;(pronounced \u2018Rnought&#8217;).
