Fifteen participants have successfully completed WasteAid\u2019s e-waste repair and business development training program, marking an important step toward cleaner, more sustainable communities in South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through the program, participants learned practical skills in waste management, repair and dismantling of household electronic appliances, and business development. Each graduate received a certificate and resources to help them start or grow their own waste-focused enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of their training, newly formed cooperatives also led clean-up and awareness campaigns in several communities, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Freedom Park \u2013 Umsebenziwethu<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dube, Soweto \u2013 Yandisa Technologies<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These initiatives show how skills development and community action can go hand in hand \u2014 creating income opportunities while protecting the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
WasteAid continues to empower South African Wastepreneurs to turn waste into opportunity and make waste work for good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
