Sister Rebecca Mogale from Sasol and LoveLife reminded attendees that cancer is an abnormal growth of cells in the body, urging everyone to get tested early. \u201cThe earlier the screening, the better,\u201d said Sister Mogale. \u201cMany people avoid testing, but even if you don\u2019t know, cancer can still attack. That\u2019s why we always advocate for regular screening.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sister Leya Morumudi encouraged residents to stay consistent with check-ups. \u201cIf you are HIV positive, do screening once every year,\u201d she advised. \u201cIf you are HIV negative, do it every three years \u2014 unless there are abnormalities.\u201d She also urged families with a history of cancer to ensure their children are checked and monitored early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adding to the day\u2019s activities, mobile clinics were on-site to provide free screenings for volunteers and community members, giving people the opportunity to get tested on the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To promote overall wellness, participants also joined a yoga session, highlighting the importance of physical and mental health as part of a healthy lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
