A school bus driver at Iterele-Zenzele Comprehensive School was seriously injured following an altercation with pupils while transporting learners in Diepsloot on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to information received, a group of pupils allegedly attacked the driver while the school bus was in motion.
During the confrontation, the driver sustained severe injuries, including the loss of teeth.
Despite the attack, the driver managed to safely stop the bus, preventing further harm to the pupils on board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The situation escalated when the learners encountered Mr Shika, a well-known community leader in the area, who intervened to assist in calming the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police were called to the scene shortly thereafter. Officers responded and ensured that the matter was brought under control. A formal statement was later taken at Diepsloot Police Station as part of the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The circumstances leading to the altercation remain unclear, and it is not yet known whether any arrests have been made. School authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
