The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) is investigating the murder of 16-year-old Thabani Mazibuko, who was allegedly shot by a police officer in Diepsloot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is understood that two police officers were attempting to leave the area with the boy\u2019s female friends when a scuffle broke out, which reportedly led to the fatal shooting.
Police, however, claim that the teenager was attempting to hijack a police vehicle when officers opened fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
