Four-month-old Promise Rabela was laid to rest on Wednesday, as her family and the Diepsloot community gathered to mourn her tragic death.Her death follows a horrific case in which her mother was allegedly raped and killed by a self-proclaimed pastor from Diepsloot. The alleged pastor, Caiphus Mkhawane, appeared in court earlier this week alongside his two wives, Ntsako Makhubela and Amanda Mnguni. The trio face charges linked to the infant’s death, including allegations that they plotted to kill the baby to fraudulently claim funeral insurance payouts.Mkhawane is also accused of raping Promise’s mother.The baby’s body was discovered in a shallow grave near the Hennops River last week.
