DIEPSLOOT – Relief and joy filled the community of Diepsloot after 16-year-old Senatla Rannyama, who had gone missing for several days, was found safe on Wednesday.
Senatla, who is autistic, was last seen on 21 May 2025 around 8:30 AM in Diepsloot Extension 2, wearing a red jacket, blue jeans, and black All Star sneakers.
His disappearance sparked widespread concern across the community, with many residents sharing his photo and details on social media and WhatsApp groups in hopes of locating him.
Family, friends, and community members tirelessly searched for the teen, and his story drew attention across Johannesburg.
His mother, Lydia Rannyama, remained hopeful and pleaded for the public’s help in finding their son.
On Wednesday, their prayers were answered. Details surrounding how and where Senatla was found have not yet been shared, but the family confirmed he is safe and back home.
Senatla is now receiving care and support from his family to recover from the ordeal.
