Diepsloot PEU Project Reaches Major Milestone

Diepsloot residents can look forward to improved infrastructure as the much-anticipated PEU Project in the area hits a significant milestone. In December 2025, the project team successfully placed concrete culverts and cast the concrete slab forming the culvert bridge, marking the completion of the core structural works.
With the main structure now in place, the project is moving into its final stages. Upcoming activities will focus on:
Completing the road layer works
Reinstating the paved road (tar) over the culvert
Carrying out finishing touches, including surfacing, pedestrian walkways, and safety features
The City of Johannesburg continues to emphasize that these improvements are part of its broader commitment to delivering safer, more accessible roads for all residents under the #JobureReimagined initiative.
This development is set to enhance traffic flow, pedestrian safety, and overall connectivity in Diepsloot, bringing the community one step closer to a modern and reliable transport network.
Residents are urged to stay informed and exercise caution around construction zones as work progresses.
