The atmosphere at Cosmo Mall was filled with excitement, glamour, and celebration this past Saturday as community members gathered for the highly anticipated Miss Crown Cosmo 2026 pageant. The event, held as part of the mall’s Mother’s Day celebrations, honoured women, confidence, leadership, and the importance of community empowerment.
The pageant brought together aspiring models, families, supporters, and local residents for a day that was more than just fashion and beauty. It became a platform where women were encouraged to embrace their identities, showcase their talents, and inspire younger generations.
Contestants confidently took to the stage in four themed categories: all black, all white “fairy” wear, career wear, and evening gown. One of the highlights of the event was the career wear segment, which encouraged young women to imagine themselves in positions of leadership, influence, and success. Through creativity and confidence, participants demonstrated that beauty can also carry purpose and ambition.
Several special titles were awarded throughout the competition, including Miss Crown Cosmo Personality and Miss Crown Cosmo Hair, celebrating individuality and self-expression among the contestants.
First-time pageant participant Amina Williams, who walked away with the title of Miss Crown Cosmo Glam, described the experience as life-changing.
“There is such a big responsibility in demystifying environments and spaces we may not fully understand, myself included. Beauty pageants aren’t just about crowns but the journey within itself. It’s about sisterhood, community and leadership,” she said.
As the evening reached its emotional finale, the official winners of Miss Crown Cosmo 2026 were announced. Ms. Karabo Monyane was crowned Queen, while Ms. Thato Cathrine Motete earned the title of 1st Princess and Ms. Khathutshelo Musiya was named 2nd Princess.
Organisers expressed gratitude to the participants, sponsors, judges, service providers, and community members who contributed to the success of the event. The pageant ended on a powerful note, reminding attendees that when women are supported, celebrated, and empowered, communities continue to grow stronger together.
