Global Hope Youth foundation it’s a non-profit organization, this is one of the organizations in Diepsloot that offers youth development programs, sports, art and culture and skills development. Global Hope has been making a difference in the community before the Pandemic and during the Pandemic that we facing as a country.
The founder of Global Hope Youth Foundation David Marokane said “the organization has a feeding scheme that is sponsored by Woolworths and individuals who are willing to donate, we normally give the food on Thursday and Friday every week”
This organization has fed approximately 250 people per day in Diepsloot during the pandemic they are hoping to be able to continue feeding the community even after the pandemic since they see that this has become the need to the community.
While they are distributing food parcels they are also practising and teaching people how to wash their hands, and sanitising and they are always educating the community about the COVID-19.
“We have worked with various people in the community and councillors and we have managed to distribute the food parcels to the community” said Marokane
He stated that those who are willing to assist with funds or food parcels are welcome to give a helping hand. Marokane added that they are also helping a girl child with sanitary pads. The project aims at helping the community and to live hope in their lives.
