It might be a lockdown but the need for sanitary pads for a woman is a monthly requirement some can afford and till to date some are not able to afford the sanitary pads and they end up using tissues or a cloth. Matefo  Morakeng the founder of Dear Bella sanitary pads saw the need of manufacturing affordable sanitary pads at a cost of R10.00 a pack of eight.

Morakeng is currently recruiting a network of independent sales representative in the country to be able to sell while in the process of getting sanitary pads in stores.  Morakeng wants Dear Bella to be distributed nationwide at affordable price also, she is donating the sanitary pads to NGOs to keep a girl child in school. Dear Bella might not be dominating nationwide they have offices in Gauteng and Free State.

“under normal circumstances we would be taking the sanitary pads to the school’s where they would be assisted, since now there are at their respective homes, we are to continue to give them sanitary pads. We don’t want to abandon them during this lockdown since it is essential. “said Morakeng.

Dear Bella has a campaign drive with Diepsloot News and The Soweto Bulletin Newspaper to be able to keep a girl child in school in both communities and the surrounding areas.

Those who are able to donate can contact Diepsloot News or The Soweto Bulletin Newspaper or they can do it directly with Dear Bella. The aim is to keep a smile on a girl child.
