South African musician Tyla has won a Grammy Award at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, US.
The “Water” hitmaker won ahead of heavyweights like Ayra Starr, Davido,Burna Boy, and Musa Keys in the category of Best African Music Performance.
“Water” reached global status after its release in 2023.South African comedian Trevor Noah was also nominated for a Grammy in the category of best comedy album, which he lost to renowned comedian Dave Chappelle.
