Former Orlando Pirates and Supersport United player Thandani “Bibo” Ntshumayelo was released on R1,000 bail after appearing at the Randburg Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
He faces a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm under the Domestic Violence Act.
It is understood that the retired soccer player assaulted his girlfriend by allegedly slapping her across the face, grabbing her by her head, hitting it against the wall, and pushing her to the ground. He is expected to return to court in April.
