PFL Africa: Johannesburg Delivers Explosive Action

Johannesburg’s Carnival City Big Top Arena was on fire last night as eight fighters secured their spots in the PFL Africa Semifinals. Fans were treated to a night of electrifying finishes and all-out battles in the Featherweight and Welterweight divisions.

In the main event, Nigeria’s Patrick Ocheme (7-1) earned a unanimous decision win over Mohamed Camara (5-3-1). After a slow start, Ocheme dropped Camara in round two and kept control until the final bell. Inspired by the presence of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi at ringside, Ocheme now heads to the Featherweight semifinals to face Abdoul Razac Sankara.

The co-main event saw Angola’s Shido Boris Esperanca (10-1) waste no time, submitting Ibrahima Mané (13-6) in just 34 seconds with a rear-naked choke. Esperanca, who calls himself an ambassador for African MMA, will meet Octave Ayinda in the Welterweight semifinals.

Also in the Welterweight bracket, Octave Ayinda (6-0) stopped British Boloyoang (3-2) in under two minutes, while Yabna N’tchala (12-2-1) dominated Sanon Sadeck (7-3) over three rounds to win by unanimous decision.

The PFL Africa Finals will see Ocheme vs. Sankara and Adeshina vs. Dwight Joseph in the Featherweights, while Esperanca takes on Ayinda and N’tchala faces Emilios Dassi in the Welterweights.
