Diepsloot Woman Found Dead After Being Reported Missing

The Diepsloot community is mourning the tragic death of 31-year-old Vumile “Ayanda” Hlophe, who was reported missing at Diepsloot Police Station on 22 August.

Ayanda was last seen around 2:00 AM, hitchhiking from Diepsloot to Lion Park. She was reportedly headed to a tavern known as Kwa-Njebe, wearing a black dress and a jean jacket. She wore dreadlocks and did not have a cellphone with her.

Witnesses recall seeing her at the tavern, where she mentioned that some people were bothering her.

That was the last time she was seen alive.Tragically, her body was discovered on Sunday, 31 August, in Lion Park.

A community member alerted residents after making the discovery.

Police have opened a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.

The news has left the community in shock, with many sending messages of sympathy and support to Ayanda’s family.
