A woman was attacked and stabbed while on her way to work in Diepsloot.
According to reports, she bravely fought off the robber, forcing the suspect to flee the scene. However, during the struggle, she sustained injuries to both hands after being cut with a knife.
The suspect managed to steal her handbag, which contained her bank cards and ID. Since the incident, the victim has received notifications of suspicious transactions on her bank card, indicating it is being used by the perpetrator.
She was rushed to a local clinic, where her hand injuries were stitched.
Community members in Diepsloot are urging residents to remain vigilant and exercise caution.
It is also understood that the victim attempted to open a case at the Diepsloot Police Station, but police allegedly refused to assist her.
