South African DJ, producer, and media personality DJ Supta is back with a powerful new single titled “Amagama”, a release that continues his journey of creating Afro House music deeply rooted in storytelling and emotional connection.
Born Siyabulela Sithole and hailing from Aliwal North in the Eastern Cape, DJ Supta has spent more than a decade shaping South Africa’s entertainment scene. While many music lovers remember him from his influential days on YFM, the award-winning creative is now fully focused on music, live performances, and expanding his artistic footprint.
The new single, “Amagama” — which translates to “words” — blends Afro House and Afro Tech sounds with themes centred around communication, truth, and emotional expression. The track is expected to resonate strongly with fans who appreciate music that speaks to personal experiences and cultural identity.
DJ Supta is no stranger to producing chart-worthy hits. He gained national recognition after co-producing the smash hit “Gugulethu” alongside Prince Kaybee. Over the years, he has also released projects such as “Hayi SUPTA” and the “Makwande EP”, while collaborating with some of the country’s biggest names including Lady Zamar, Aymos, Nkosazana Daughter, DJ Zinhle, and DJ Tira.
