Residents of Olivenhoutbosch have raised concerns after newly installed traffic lights on the R55 were vandalised. Community members believe the damage could be linked to criminal activity in the area.
One resident said the vandalism may be part of a scheme by criminals attempting to create unsafe conditions to hijack motorists travelling between Olivenhoutbosch and Centurion.
Residents are calling on authorities to repair the traffic lights and increase police patrols along the busy route to ensure motorists’ safety.
