Toilet Dislodging Operations Begin in Diepsloot Extension 11 Following Community Engagement

Diepsloot, Johannesburg – Following a productive engagement meeting earlier this week between Ward 113 Councillor Abraham Mabuke, his Ward Committee, and Diepsloot Extension 11 Block Committees, tangible progress is now visible on the ground as Supreme Toilets trucks have officially begun operations in the area.

The meeting, held to address the ongoing toilet dislodging issues that have frustrated residents, resulted in a clear commitment from Johannesburg Water and appointed service providers to fast-track service delivery. As promised, Supreme Toilets teams have started work today, marking a positive step toward restoring sanitation services for Diepsloot Extension 11 residents.

Councillor Mabuke welcomed the swift response, saying, “We are pleased to see action being taken immediately after our engagement. This is a demonstration of accountability and teamwork between the city, service providers, and our community structures.”

Residents have expressed relief at the quick turnaround, with many acknowledging the Ward Councillor’s efforts in ensuring that service providers are visible and working on the ground.

Johannesburg Water confirmed that additional service providers will continue operations in other sections of Diepsloot and surrounding areas in the coming days as part of the broader sanitation maintenance program.

Community members are encouraged to continue cooperating with service teams and to attend upcoming sectoral and VD meetings, where Johannesburg Water and service providers will provide progress updates and outline the next phases of work.

This development marks a hopeful turnaround in addressing sanitation challenges and improving living conditions for Diepsloot residents.
